Broadcast program wins at WKU awards

We did very well for our first entries in the WKU statewide Mark of Excellence contest, broadcast journalism division:

  • 1st place for videography went to Kara Hancock and Taylor Steff for their story on Thoroughly Modern Millie (http://vimeo.com/8178452)
  • 2nd place for sports went to Trevor Griner and Mac Hahn for their story on Manual’s new football coach, Dr. Oliver Lucas (http://vimeo.com/9179911)
  • 3rd place for news went to Lauren McKay and Abby DeWeese for their story on the statewide block of 3rd party emails (http://vimeo.com/8769291)
  • 3rd place for features went to Monica Cunningham and Chelsea Loveland for their story on Gladys Hodges (http://vimeo.com/7894473)

And the winner of Most Valuable Broadcast Team Member went to Manual AM’s Executive Producer Monica Cunningham.
