Manual broadcast journalism students took first place in two separate categories in this year’s Kentucky High School Journalism Association awards:

On March 19, 2010, the Manual Crimson yearbook took home the Columbia Scholastic Press Association Gold Crown Award in a ceremony at Columbia University in New York City. The award was for the 2009 volume with the theme Slant.
