Manual broadcast journalism students took first place in two separate categories in this year’s Kentucky High School Journalism Association awards: Riley Puckett, Jennie Morris & Lindsey Asher (Class of 2009) won first place for their short documentary “Illegal Dumping.” Abby DeWeese & Lauren McKay (Class of 2010) won first place for their news package on the KEA third-party [...] We did very well for our first entries in the WKU statewide Mark of Excellence contest, broadcast journalism division: 1st place for videography went to Kara Hancock and Taylor Steff for their story on Thoroughly Modern Millie (http://vimeo.com/8178452) Take a moment to view and vote for the CMA broadcast students’ entry into the Fox 41 “Journalism 101″ contest.
