Every year the CMA students have a chance to attend the National Scholastic Press Association convention. This year, the convention is being held in Minneapolis, Minnesota on November 16-20, 2011. The price is only $475 with a minimum $100 deposit due to Mr. Miller by Friday, October 7th.

Announcing the CMA retreat for Manual AM, RedEye, and Crimson Record students. The event is called Converge: CMA Media Convergence Retreat 2011. All students enrolled in broadcast, multimedia, and newspaper are required to attend. Please click here for more information.
On April 13-17, CMA students will travel to the 2011 National Scholastic Press Association spring convention, held this year in Anaheim, California. The convention is a great opportunity for students to network with media professionals, meet journalism college recruiters, attend workshops in specialized areas, and bond with their fellow CMA students.

The meeting for the Costa Rica trip has passed, but students can still apply by Jan. 31. Students entering ninth grade and graduating seniors of all magnets and skill level are invited to take part in the expedition, scheduled June 20-29. Students of other schools can apply with recommendation from a teacher.
